LAKESHORE AUTO DETAILING

Customer Policies & Service Terms

If We Cant Guarantee It We Won’t Sell It

At Lakeshore Auto Detailing, we believe quality service starts with clear communication, honest expectations, and respect for every customer’s vehicle. The following policies help ensure a smooth, professional experience from booking through completion.

By scheduling a service, customers acknowledge that they have been provided the applicable terms and agree to the terms governing their appointment and authorized services, subject to applicable law.

1. Appointments & Scheduling

All services are available by appointment and subject to availability.

When booking, customers should provide accurate vehicle information, describe any special concerns, and disclose conditions that may affect the requested service.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is available, accessible, and ready at the agreed appointment time and location.

Lakeshore Auto Detailing reserves the right to decline or reschedule work that falls outside its current capabilities, cannot be completed safely, or requires services beyond the original scope.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that schedules can change. We ask customers to provide as much notice as possible when an appointment needs to be changed.

  • 12 hours or more before the appointment: No cancellation fee.

  • Less than 12 hours before the appointment: A $25 late-cancellation fee may apply.

  • No-show appointments: A $50 no-show fee may apply when the vehicle is unavailable at the scheduled time, access has not been provided, and the customer has not communicated with us.

A 15-minute grace period applies to customer delays. If the vehicle remains unavailable after that period and the customer has not communicated with us, the appointment may be treated as a no-show.

Cancellation and no-show fees will not be combined for the same missed appointment. Only one applicable fee will be charged.

Fees will be disclosed before booking confirmation. The owner may waive a fee at their discretion for emergencies or other extenuating circumstances.

Weather & Business-Initiated Changes

Weather, unsafe working conditions, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may require an appointment to be rescheduled.

If Lakeshore Auto Detailing must reschedule, we will notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible and coordinate an alternative appointment. A business-initiated reschedule will not be treated as a customer cancellation or no-show.

3. Mobile Service & Travel Fees

Lakeshore Auto Detailing offers mobile services within its service territory across northern Ohio, subject to availability and travel requirements.

The following travel fees apply:

  • Standard mobile service: $15 per appointment for trips requiring 30 minutes or less of one-way driving from our designated starting location.

  • Extended mobile service: $30 per appointment for trips requiring more than 30 minutes of one-way driving.

The $30 extended-service fee replaces the standard $15 fee; the fees are not cumulative.

The applicable travel fee covers normal travel and fuel expenses. No separate routine fuel surcharge will be added for the same travel expense.

Appointments requiring exceptional travel distances may be quoted individually. Travel fees and any special arrangements will be communicated before booking confirmation.

Travel fees may be reviewed and adjusted when operating costs change materially. Any revised fee will be disclosed before a new appointment is confirmed.

4. Sunday & Rush Appointments

Lakeshore Auto Detailing is normally closed on Sundays.

Sunday appointments may be accommodated at the owner’s discretion and are subject to availability.

  • Sunday special-opening fee: $150 in addition to the regular service price.

  • Rush-service fee: $50–$100 when expedited completion requires additional scheduling adjustments or resources.

Sunday appointments do not automatically qualify as rush service. If both fees apply, each will be explained separately and approved before the appointment is confirmed.

Rush service and Sunday appointments are not guaranteed and may be declined based on workload, scheduling, or other commitments.

5. Estimates, Pricing & Additional Services

All services are priced according to the applicable package, vehicle size, condition, and agreed scope of work.

Advertised prices may represent starting prices for specified vehicle sizes and conditions. Larger vehicles, excessive soil, heavy pet hair, severe staining, unusual contamination, or other significant conditions may require an adjusted quote.

If an inspection reveals that additional work is recommended or the vehicle requires a different service than originally requested, we will explain the reason and provide revised pricing before proceeding.

No additional chargeable work will be performed without customer approval, except as otherwise lawfully permitted in a genuine emergency.

Applicable travel fees, taxes, parts charges, and other approved fees will be identified in the estimate or invoice.

6. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage

Customers should disclose known vehicle damage, previous repairs, sensitive materials, aftermarket modifications, and other conditions that may affect the requested service.

We inspect vehicles as appropriate before beginning work and may photograph existing damage or areas of concern for documentation.

Certain materials and components may be vulnerable because of age, deterioration, previous damage, or improper prior repairs. If a proposed service presents a significant risk, we will explain the concern and may recommend an alternative method or decline the work.

Documenting pre-existing damage does not excuse damage caused by negligent workmanship or eliminate responsibilities imposed by law.

Customers should remove valuables, cash, firearms, medications, electronics, and other personal belongings before leaving a vehicle for service.

7. Detailing Results & Service Limitations

Every vehicle is different. Results depend on its condition, materials, age, previous repairs, maintenance history, and the type of contamination or damage present.

Our goal is to provide careful, high-quality workmanship and the best achievable results within the authorized service.

However, detailing cannot guarantee complete removal of every stain, scratch, odor, water spot, oxidation mark, or other defect.

Examples of conditions that may limit results include:

  • Permanent or deeply embedded stains.

  • Worn, faded, cracked, or deteriorated materials.

  • Scratches or defects requiring paint or body repair.

  • Odors originating from inaccessible areas or underlying contamination.

  • Water spots or etching that cannot safely be removed.

  • Headlight damage involving internal components, moisture, or cracked lenses.

We will communicate significant limitations when reasonably identifiable before work begins. Additional services or repairs may require a separate estimate and authorization.

Cosmetic treatments and protective products are not substitutes for mechanical repairs or permanent restoration unless specifically designed and represented for that purpose.

8. Headliner Cleaning

Vehicle headliners are delicate materials that may contain fabric, foam backing, and adhesive that can weaken with age, heat, moisture, previous cleaning, repairs, or deterioration.

Before cleaning, we inspect the headliner for visible sagging, looseness, separation, tears, stains, and other concerns.

Where appropriate, we explain the proposed cleaning method and the risk that weakened fabric, backing, or adhesive may loosen, separate, or sag during or after cleaning.

Specific customer authorization is required before headliner cleaning begins. General authorization for an interior detail does not automatically authorize this service.

We may decline or limit headliner cleaning when the existing condition makes the risk unacceptable.

Although we use appropriate methods and reasonable care, we cannot guarantee that an already weakened or deteriorated headliner will remain attached or free from future sagging.

Nothing in this policy excludes responsibility for damage caused by negligent workmanship or overrides applicable law.

9. Returning-Customer Maintenance Details

Lakeshore Auto Detailing may offer discounted maintenance details to eligible customers who have recently completed a qualifying full detail.

The maintenance service is intended to help maintain a vehicle’s condition between full details. It is not a repeat of the original full detail.

Proposed maintenance pricing: $100–$200, depending on vehicle size, condition, and the agreed scope of work.

To qualify under the proposed program:

  • The original qualifying full detail must have been completed and paid for with Lakeshore Auto Detailing.

  • The maintenance appointment must occur within 21 calendar days of the original detail’s completion.

  • The service must be for the same customer and vehicle.

  • The vehicle must have remained reasonably clean since the original service.

  • The maintenance appointment must be available and confirmed by the business.

Maintenance details do not automatically include heavy soil removal, extensive pet hair removal, stain extraction, severe contamination, paint correction, ceramic coating, undercarriage protection, or other specialty services.

The vehicle will be inspected at the maintenance appointment. If its condition exceeds the maintenance scope, revised pricing or an alternative package will be discussed before work begins.

The offer is non-transferable and cannot be combined with other discounts unless approved by the owner. Maintenance details do not reset or extend product warranties or replace manufacturer-recommended coating maintenance.

The exact maintenance price and qualifying services will be confirmed before booking or work begins.

10. Payment & Invoicing

Unless another arrangement is approved in writing, payment is due when the authorized service is completed and the vehicle is ready for pickup.

Customers will receive an itemized invoice showing the applicable services, approved charges, taxes, payments, and outstanding balance.

Deposits and advance payments, when required, will be explained before payment is collected and credited according to the agreed terms.

Parts and special-order items may require advance payment before ordering. Applicable sourcing fees, expected delivery, labor estimates, and known return restrictions will be disclosed before authorization.

We aim to resolve billing questions promptly and fairly. Customers who dispute an invoice should contact us directly so the matter can be reviewed against the approved estimate and completed work.

Any late fees, collection charges, or other additional amounts will be imposed only when properly disclosed, authorized, and permitted by law.

11. Headlight Restoration & Replacement

Headlight restoration may improve the appearance of lenses affected by external oxidation or surface deterioration. Results depend on the condition of the lens and the type of damage present.

Restoration cannot correct every problem, including internal damage, moisture inside the housing, cracked lenses, failed electronics, or other component failures.

Before restoration, we will explain the service, price, expected results, and known limitations.

In certain circumstances, Lakeshore Auto Detailing may offer to waive the restoration charge if the customer proceeds with a replacement service through the business after an unsuccessful or unsatisfactory restoration attempt.

This is an optional offer, not an automatic entitlement. Eligibility and conditions must be disclosed and agreed upon before restoration begins.

Replacement services require a separate estimate and authorization. Parts, sourcing fees, installation labor, and any necessary programming or calibration will be explained before ordering or performing the work.

Special-order parts may be subject to supplier restrictions. Cancellation, deposit, and refund terms will be disclosed before payment. Refunds and deposits will be handled according to the agreed terms and applicable law.

12. Customer Concerns & Service Follow-Up

Customer satisfaction matters to us, and we welcome the opportunity to address reasonable concerns.

If you have a concern about completed work, please contact Lakeshore Auto Detailing promptly and describe the issue. Photographs or an opportunity to inspect the vehicle may help us evaluate the concern.

We will review the agreed scope, documented vehicle condition, service limitations, and work performed.

If we determine that work was not completed as agreed, we will discuss an appropriate correction or remedy consistent with the circumstances and applicable law.

A concern arising from a disclosed limitation or pre-existing condition will be evaluated based on the specific circumstances and the agreed service.

Any rework, refund, discount, or other adjustment will be documented. We aim to resolve concerns professionally, fairly, and directly.

13. Referrals & Third-Party Services

When a requested service falls outside our current capabilities, we may recommend a qualified third-party provider.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, third-party providers operate independently. Lakeshore Auto Detailing does not guarantee their pricing, availability, workmanship, or warranties.

Any referral arrangement or material relationship will be disclosed when appropriate or required.

14. Privacy & Vehicle Documentation

Vehicle photographs, inspection notes, customer contact details, and service records may be collected and retained for legitimate business purposes, including estimates, documentation of pre-existing conditions, quality control, billing, and dispute resolution.

Customer information will be handled with reasonable care and will not be shared publicly without appropriate permission or another lawful basis.

Customers who have questions about the use of their information or photographs may contact Lakeshore Auto Detailing directly.

15. Policy Updates & Contact

Lakeshore Auto Detailing may update these policies when services, pricing, operating procedures, or applicable requirements change.

The terms applicable to an appointment will be communicated before the customer authorizes the relevant service. Material changes will be reflected in the website and booking process as appropriate.

If you have questions about a policy, service, estimate, or appointment, please contact Lakeshore Auto Detailing before booking or authorizing work.
